The 1st International Symposium on Precision Engineering 2020 (ISPE 2020) will be held at Huisun Experimental Forest (HEF), National Chung Hsing University (NCHU), Taichung, Taiwan during November 14 ~ 16, 2020. Taichung, the second most populous city, is located in central Taiwan and has a population of approximately 2.82 million people. NCHU has 10 colleges including Agriculture and Natural Resources, Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, Engineering, Law and Politics, Liberal Arts, Life Sciences, Management, Science, Veterinary Medicine, and International College of Innovation and Industry Liaison. NCHU over 100 years old in the Taiwan is the leading research university in central Taiwan. HEF is the beautiful and prestigious campus of NCHU, which is located in the Nantou county, Taiwan. HEF, 7,477 ha in area and the largest experimental forest among the 4 belonging to NCHU, is approximately 35km to the east of Taichung. ISPE 2020 is organized by Graduate Institute of Precision Engineering (GIPE), NCHU. The main objective of the ISPE 2020 conferences is to provide a major international platform for knowledge exchange and an interactive forum in integrated technologies, mechanical engineering, optics, electronics, electrical engineering and material engineering into precision manufacturing, precision measurement, precision inspection, MEMS, semiconductor and precision environmental control, etc. These are all fascinating topics related to future needs. On behalf of ISPE 2020 organizing committee, we sincerely welcome you for participating this symposium to share your experience and research results. ISPE 2020 welcomes author submission of papers concerning any branch of the precision engineering, and their applications, and other subjects.

Submitted papers will be peer reviewed. All accepted and selected papers will be published into Special Issue "Selected Papers from ISET 2020 and ISPE 2020" in Applied Sciences (ISSN 2076-3417; CODEN: ASPCC7), which is an international peer-reviewed open access journal on all aspects of applied natural sciences published semi-monthly online by MDPI.
